Website terms of use

This website is operated by Berks Fleet. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Information on this site

We take care to keep the information here accurate, but it is provided for general guidance. Vehicle capacities, payloads and pallet counts are realistic working figures rather than guaranteed specifications, and the exact figures for any particular vehicle vary by make, model and specification. Nothing on this site is a binding offer or a quotation.

Quotations

A quotation is only binding when we have issued it to you in writing against the specific details of your consignment. A quotation is given on the basis of the information you provide. If the consignment, the access, the waiting time or the timing differs materially from what was described, we will agree any change with you before incurring additional cost wherever it is practical to do so.

Intellectual property

The content, layout and design of this website belong to us. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not republish or reproduce substantial parts of the site without our permission.

Liability for use of the site

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information on this website, as distinct from our obligations under a contract of carriage.

Conditions of carriage

All work we perform is carried out under our conditions of carriage, which cover matters including liability limits for loss or damage, timescales for notifying a claim, exclusions for certain categories of goods, the customer's obligation to pack and describe consignments properly, and payment terms.

Those conditions are supplied with every quotation, so you have them before you commit to a job rather than afterwards. You can also request a copy at any time by emailing info@berksfleet.co.uk, and they form part of the compliance pack we send for vendor onboarding.

Tell us before you book Certain categories of goods are either excluded or require specific arrangements and additional cover. If your consignment includes anything unusually valuable, hazardous, temperature sensitive, live, fragile or irreplaceable, tell us at the point of enquiry so the correct arrangements and cover can be put in place. Insurance limits that suit a pallet of general goods will not necessarily suit yours.

Governing law

These terms and any contract of carriage between us are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
