Driving work with our own fleetHGV and van driver jobs
Van, 7.5 tonne and Class 1 work across the UK. We would rather tell you honestly what a role involves and lose you at the interview than have you leave after three weeks because it was not what you were told.
The driving roles we recruit for
Vacancies move week to week, so instead of a list that goes out of date the moment it is published, here is what each type of role actually involves. Send us your details and we will tell you what is live.

Van driver Van driver
Full UK car licence (category B)
Multi drop rounds, same day courier work and dedicated deliveries. Mostly regional with some longer runs.
Suits: Drivers who like variety, dealing with customers directly and being finished at a predictable time.

7.5 tonne driver 7.5 tonne driver
Category C1, with a valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
Larger van and rigid work into sites where an articulated vehicle cannot get in. Tail lift work is common.
Suits: Drivers who want the step up from van work without going into Class 1 tramping.

Class 1 driver Class 1 driver
Category CE, with a valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
Traction only, trunking and general haulage. Day work, night trunking and tramping depending on the role.
Suits: Experienced artic drivers who want consistent, planned work rather than a different job every day.

What we look for
- A clean or near clean licence, and honesty about anything on it
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card for C1 and CE roles
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to do a proper daily walk round check, every time
- Presentable and civil at customer sites, because you are us to them
- Reliability above all. Turning up matters more than experience

Driver questions
Do you have vacancies right now?
It varies week to week, so rather than publish a list that goes stale we would rather you send your details and we will tell you honestly what we have. Speculative applications are genuinely welcome, and we keep them on file rather than deleting them.
Do you take newly qualified drivers?
For van work, yes. For Class 1 it depends on the role and on insurance, which is the real constraint rather than our preference. Tell us what you hold and how long you have held it and we will be straight with you.
Is the work agency or employed?
We are recruiting for our own fleet. If you own your own vehicle and want subcontract work instead, that runs through our subcontractors page and is a different arrangement.
What are the hours?
It depends on the role. Van and multi drop work is generally day work with predictable finish times. Class 1 work includes night trunking and tramping on some routes. We will tell you which before you accept, not after.
Will I be tramping?
Only on roles where we say so up front. Plenty of our work is day work and home every night, which is exactly why some drivers come to us.
